School Events

Stuart's books have been included in the Ofsted recommended list designed to encourage boys to read. He is invited into schools to talk about his work and encourage creative writing. As well as talking about his life and his fiction, Stuart can now give a session about the life of Richard III, the Wars of the Roses and the life of a young knight in training.

Stuart is available once a week for school events and his school day is based on four Author Talk sessions of 50 minutes or an hour.

Stuart's Author Talks include:

• His early life, particularly his difficulties at school
• Leaving school at 16 with one CSE and doing a variety of jobs in factories before returning to education at 22
• Fascinating tales from when he worked as an archaeologist, including digging up skulls
• Speaking passionately about History and how it is about real people and fascinating discoveries - linking to his own historical fantasy novels
• Readings from his thrilling novels
• Ghost stories - which may or may not be true!
